I am writing this to
pay homage to the woman who was my personal inspiration to study and practice
Wicca. Not everyone will agree with me that Silver belongs in the category of
Inspirational People as she has received much criticism for how she delivers
her information. I will say, to hopefully appease those who read this but
dislike her, and that I do not follow her so much as I once did, as I have
grown as a woman and a witch and I do not feel that her books are particularly relevant
to my practice anymore.
Why then, you may ask,
have I included her in a series of posts based on those who inspire me as a
witch now. The answer to this is that ‘To Ride a Silver Broomstick’ was the
first book I read on Wicca and 18 years later, I still practice; can there be a
stronger inspiration than that one book and one author, keeping me on this
spiritual, magickal and personal path?
