Eclectic Solitary Witch
Well as you may have guessed, I'm a witch. Why do I think I'm a witch? Well, as a practising nature-lover, tree-hugger, season-celebrator and 'spell-caster', for 14 years I believe I have earned the right to call myself witch - my first self-dedication was my 18th birthday. As as solitary practitioner of eclectic tastes I do not hold myself to a degree system as many witches and covens do but I do work by a list of ethics and though my beliefs are eclectic (and extremely varied) my moral basis lies in The Wiccan Rede. To many, this would make me Wiccan and I am perfectly comfortable with that label but it is not a name I specifically put on myself. Am I coming across as nuts yet? No? Give it time! - Lol! I have written a blog post - I am Witch! - this details some of my specific beliefs in relation to deity, divinity, after-life and practices, as for the rest, I will keep adding to this page as my experience and horizons grow and change so keep an eye.
Finding My Magickal Name
My Totem Spirit
Opal
My most treasured and loved totem, Opal is
the Orca spirit who has travelled with me since I was born. Being a creature of
water, she reminds me to feel and own every emotion, she encourages me to take
chances with my emotions and she takes me on the most beautiful aquatic
meditations.
It is no secret that I am an animal lover
and I give to several conservation charities and trusts but Opal is the reason
why the oceanic ones are closest to my heart. She is my most cherished
blessing.
