This aromatic meditation is a
spiritual foray to
restore your balance with the natural
world.
This
is slightly reworded from the original text by Nicola de Pulford but it is the
same information. I love this meditation. It is so very calming.
You
will need:
- A bowl of sand
- A bunch of dandelions
- Vetiver oil
- Cotton pad
Preparation
Find
a comfy chair and position it so that you will be facing south during the
meditation. The bowl of sand should be placed so that when sitting in the
chair, your bare fit will sit comfortably in it. Put the dandelions in a glass
vase, somewhere in plain view whilst sitting in your chair. The vetiver oil (2
drops) is to be placed on the cotton pad.
Sit in your chair and place your feet in the sand. Inhale
the scent of the vetiver with long deep breaths, wafting the cotton pad in front
of you. Think of Mother Earth. Squeeze your toes into the sand and visualise
your spiritual body being enveloped by warm brown robe – because I’m dramatic
in my meditations, mine has golden swirls patterned on it – this robe is enriching
your life with fertility. Whilst you’re doing this remember that you are part
of the inexorable circle of life and that earth – the beautiful sacred home of
all that we love – needs your care and protection as much as you need hers.
A 1-2-3 Method
1) Collect your dandelions and fill a large bowl
with sand. I use the bowl from the kitchen sink.
2) Gaze at the flowers, focus on them, as your mind
drifts with the beautiful scent.
3) Feel the heaviness of the sand around your feet
and close your eyes, allow your whole body to become as one with it.
