Characterisation &
Interpretation
Feoh means cattle. This is because it was a measure
of wealth to the ancients. Today, Feoh is symbolic of moveable wealth such as
money and possessions. It is also symbolic of the energy and hard work that
leads to wealth. The ‘domain’ of Feoh is Success; it is the rune of wealth,
whether that be financial, romantic, emotional, spiritual, health or ambition but
it does carry a warning to be charitable and show compassion.
The rune of unselfish abundance – let its light
brighten your path and the paths of others. You will never run out of your
spiritual richness but it should not be wasted on those who will abuse it. Discernment
is a key message of this rune.
Reversed meaning:
Receiving a message of Feoh in a reversed position
indicates a level of failure in one or more of the above mentioned areas;
perhaps an ambition that doesn’t reach fruition, an issue with health or
finances. It can also be indicative of unrequited love or a run of bad luck.
Converse (face-down):
Generally, Feoh has positive connotations if drawn ‘face-down’:
hidden rewards or undiscovered wealth are the most common interpretations. I
personally only consider a ‘questionable’ but constructive analysis if it is
both converse and reversed, when this happens, I see it as a message that an
area of my life needs nourishment.
