Healing Sodalite Talisman With Lime & Lavender

You will need:

• Altar pentacle
• Illuminator candles/working candle

For the talisman:

• A sodalite crystal - approx ¾” – 1½”
• A length of blue ribbon – approx 10”
• 2 drops - Lime essential oil
• 4 drops Lavender essential oil

(Optional) Element charge:

A representation of each element that has a

healing aspect; my choices for this working:

• ~Earth~

Salt & glitter mix

• ~Air~

A blue feather

• ~Fire~

Blue candle

• ~Water~

Spring water with blue sequins

What to do:

1. Light your working and/or illuminator candles and place the sodalite onto your altar pentacle.
2. Prepare your element representations (light candles, incense, etc). Hold each one in turn – from earth, through air and fire, to water - and focus on its healing power.
3. Take the ribbon and drip the oil on to the middle, saying:

“Lime, lime I ask your aid

Purify where you are laid

Oh Lavender, queen of heavens scent

Heal and bless where you are sent”.

4. Pick up the sodalite and hold it in your ‘dominant hand’ as you charge it with your healing intentions for the recipient of the talisman. I personally say:

Stone of brightest, deepest blue

Heal all entities touching you

On your skin the blackest fleck

Neutralise energy there to wreck

Whitest streaks neutralise

Dark to light, fool to wise

5. Place the stone onto the middle of the oiled ribbon, and wrap it in a cross, like you would a gift box. You will tie 5 knots – 3 on one side, 2 on the other.

a)    By knot of one, the spell’s begun

b)    By knot of two, this charge is true

c)     By knot of three, energy’s sent – cross the ribbon to the other side of the stone.

d)    By knot of four, hold my intent

e)     By not of five, this spell’s is alive

6. Place the talisman back onto your altar and for a few minutes (or until you have the image solid) visualise the energies swirling inside it – the crystals own patterns and colours; the lime and lavender oils; the blue of the ribbon and the spell you just bound into the knots.
7. If you are also going to charge with the elements…

Pick it up once more and pass it through your elements, saying:

Healing air wind your way

Keep the anxious thoughts at bay

Healing earth beneath each stride

Keep steady all that is inside

Healing fire, flame that spreads

Keep away the fears and dreads

Healing water flow within

Keep emotions from spinnin’

8. Extinguish your candles and there you have your talisman.

• Engrave onto the sodalite the healing rune symbol of Berkano
