This night sees the ‘First Quarter’ phase of the moon’s reign in the dark January sky. This was going to be a part of my Moon Phase series on my main blog but I find myself just wanting to talk about it rather than post correspondence. That will keep for next month, as it waxes through Rowan/Luis.
So as I watch the moon wax from my window, I am reflecting on the month thus far, things that are half done… what in my life is encompassed by that bright half:
- I have a job that I enjoy with colleagues that I actually like.
- My sister is getting married and wants me to be ‘Maid of Honour’.
- I have a beautiful niece and nephew who I love unconditionally.
I also contemplate what is held in the dark side of the moon at the moment, that’s getting lighter or ‘easier’.
- The fact that I’m paying off my debts
- The emotional burden of not having children is lightening by the realisation that I don’t want to be a mother.
- My lack of love life maybe has a light at the end of the tunnel.
Whatever the moon phase, the lunar orb is always a good place to focus your thoughts, or to help scatter them when they get too intense. I go there often.
I adopted a Lynx today. It was only £25. Very pleased with myself – I have that ‘I did something good for the natural world’ feeling. My blog on it is available here.
