Summer
Child
Farewell
to spring, goodbye she sings
As
summer magic spreads its wings
Floral
flushes waltz through green
So, call
the Sun God to the scene
With
brightest blue the sky does bloom
Casts
out the dark, it has no room
For
light will frolic and light will play
When
summer nights bring out the fae.
Dance in
clover, bathe under the moon
Let in
the power that’s gone too soon
Rich and
bright the colours flow
Breathe
them in from above, below
The golden
glow of lengthened days
Warmth’s
abound at summer rays
Heated
earth wielding the scent
Of each
Litha that came and went
And as
the lazy days pass by
Lammas
is drawing ever nigh
The
wheel is turning through the heat
So drink
& love, feel natures beat
But ever
mind its growing rage
Dense
the clouds that take the stage
Lighting
up the sky in flashes
Rumbling
thunder as it crashes
This
moment of the wheel’s round
This
witch is only nature gowned
By the
power of the Sun, made wild
She was
born a summer child..
